[News Release] Equinox Digital Launches Marketing Associates Program to Empower the Next Generation of Creatives

Vancouver, B.C. — November 10, 2025.
Equinox Digital, a Vancouver-based brand marketing and communications agency, has officially launched the Equinox Digital Associates Program, a mentorship and upskilling training initiative designed to empower emerging marketing strategists through real-world experience, community, and storytelling.
The program aims to provide meaningful opportunities for young professionals, new graduates, and underrepresented creatives, PR and communications professionals, and marketers to gain hands-on experience in brand strategy, communications, and digital marketing. Associates will work directly alongside the Equinox team on client campaigns, internal projects, and community storytelling initiatives.
Building Equity Into the Industry’s Future
Unlike traditional internship programs, the Equinox Associates Program was built with accessibility and creative growth in mind. The initiative is currently run by the agency’s founders, Edna Batengas and Karina Perez, as part of their ongoing commitment to creating equitable pathways in marketing, communications, and technology sectors.
As Black and Hispanic women founders, Batengas and Perez have navigated an industry where leadership rarely reflects the diversity of the audiences it serves. Having faced limited access to networks, unequal opportunities, and bias that too often overlooks women of colour in creative and strategic roles, the founders built Equinox Digital to challenge those barriers, redefine inclusion in the workplace, and set a higher standard for the industry.
“We’ve all had someone who saw our potential before we did.This program is our way of becoming that light for someone else.It’s about giving aspiring professionals the chance to learn, create, and belong, not just observe from the sidelines,” said Edna Batengas, Co-Founder and Chief Brand Strategy & Innovation Officer at Equinox Digital.
“So many cross-disciplinary professionals just need a place to start. At Equinox Digital, we created a space where they can feel supported and seen while they grow. This program isn’t about hierarchy or titles. It’s about collaboration, mentorship, and the kind of creative guidance that helps people thrive,” added Karina Perez, Co-Founder and Chief of Innovation and Digital Marketing Officer at Equinox Digital.
